When you’re designing simple interfaces for industrial or embedded applications, a high-end display isn’t always necessary.
That’s where STN (Super Twisted Nematic) displays shine.
These LCDs use a special crystal alignment to improve contrast and readability over older TN displays.
They’re perfect for:
• Meters and measurement tools
• Control panels
• Medical or industrial handhelds
• Devices with simple text/graphic output
While they don’t offer color depth or video capabilities, STNs are cost-effective, highly stable, and still a popular choice in many industries.
