From the early days of Ada Lovelace, the world’s first computer programmer, and Alan Turing, who laid the groundwork for modern computing, to the pioneers of the first software systems in the 1950s and 60s. The evolution of software has shaped every aspect of our lives.
Think about how far we've come:
- The first computer programs ran on punch cards and vacuum tubes.
- In the 1980s, home computers brought BASIC programming into living rooms.
- Today, we rely on cloud platforms, machine learning, and embedded systems in everything from smart homes to industrial machines.
Even though we’re not a software company, we wouldn’t be where we are without software. From the embedded firmware in our Bluetooth modules and displays, to the systems that drive industrial automation. Software innovation is part of our foundation.
